Nuclear Power - Is TNB ready?

Remember the story about Nuclear power first since it used to bombed two Japanese's state (Hiroshima and Nagasaki). This is the first a new experiment to discover Nuclear weapon. Yet, Nuclear power has always been associated with bandits and those who opposed them will face a consequence. How so powerful an Atomic bomb has been used to conquer the whole world and many pundits described this phenomenon as a threat. But at the same time, Nuclear power has given more benefits to those discover this small blue white colour of Nuclear.

Picture above: The explosion of atom-bombed by America in August 1945, When Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombed, the first in human history when America doing so. Picture below: In Hiroshima city, vanished all near it after being bomb by American's Military.

As i discussed in earlier paragraph, the devastating effects of nuclear technology have been recorded in history at the end of World War 2 when Japanese refused to give up and US does not have chance except to use Atomic bomb in two cities in Japan and forced Japan to surrender.

However, today more scientists have scout for another alternative after the crude oil and gas have depleted in earth. The first country has discover this Nuclear is France with two clever scientists discover that nuclear power more cheaper than crude oil, gas and coal. But in terms of cost it could be exorbitant because the need to find most suitable places.

According to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the top ten countries with the highest nuclear share of total electricity generation are located in European region. France for instance, generate 76 percent of its electricity from nuclear power. On the other hand, Russia also have 8,500 nuclear according to Association Control Army. Most part of the western region have developed nuclear power for other purposes and much experiment since have been conducted by two world power namely America and Russia at the end of WW2. America for example, has conducted 331 Atmospheric Nuclear Test between 1945 and 1962. Till now, America government denial the genetic effect of the test especially in Mexico dessert.

Countries that having Nuclear bomb. Russia was the top ranking in having Nuclear bomb While Iran being considered as dengerous nations because now Tehran enriched more its uranium to develope nuclear energy for generating electricity.

The idea of having a nuclear power plant in Malaysia sounds great. The advantage of Nuclear-generated electricity have been touted by many quarters and TNB could bring down the costs of dependency of fossil fuels. Yet, Nuclear power does not emit Carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. Currently the main force to generate electricity comes from fossil fuels. The major compenent of Malaysia's electricity generation mix are natural gas accounts for 60%, coal 24%, hydroelectric 8% and biomass 4.2%. From these figures, we can conclude that Government has spent too much on the natural gases which can be turn to be Oil supply for the future. Petronas the ones of Malaysian's oil company has made an investment in the Gulf countries especially in Iraq and UAE because of Malaysia would run out of Oil.

In May 2009, TNB announced that it would sign an agreement with Korea Electric Power Corp next month to engage the latter's assistence in conducting perliminary study for development a nuclear power plant. Maybe, TNB's view of nuclear power that generate more power supply to cater for Peninsular, Sabah and Sarawak. Therefore, TNB will pursues its goal for the country's first nuclear power plant to begin operations in 2025.

Risky Business

But, there are many implications of having a nuclear power plant. Of utmost concern is the safety issue and technology capability in pursuing nuclear power plant. Many challenges that unforeseen incidents that could arise from nuclear energy development. Like other resources, nuclear energy has its own risks and rewards. Nuclear power has increased multi-fold over last several decades, especially aftermath of the Chernobyl incidents in April 1986 which devastated all at once. Country such as Japan, Taiwan, Iran and Russia have successfully operated and handled nuclear power plants for several years without major incidents.

The Chernobyl Disaster: the world-scaring explosion at Chernobyl nuclear power station on Saturday, April 1986 was the greatest nuclear accident. While only about 3 percent of the reactor core escaped, it was enough to kill those near it and damage food and crops worldwide.

To date, nuclear power share of the total electricity generation in Japan and Taiwan is 25 percent and 20 percent respectively. But, in the case of Malaysia, likelihood of trainers is the lack of knowledges. In Japan, they have well-trained the workers and exposed them in the course of emergency and they performed very well. On the other hands, the mishandling and theft of radioactive nuclear meterial, the problem with radioactive waste disposal and the health hazards that could arise from exposure to radioactive fallout such as cancer and birth defects.

The Chernobyl disaster for example, still have ongoing effects from the incident to this day. However, the radioactive fallout after the incident of Chernobyl also have widespreaded into neighbourhood country such as Croatia and Yugoslavia. Even if Your throwing in the edge island still the wind will brought through to its percints and flows from water that could lead to another major problems.

Too much Cost

According to Frost & Sullivan, the viability of the initiative is normally evaluated in relation to the country's energy mix, domestic resources, avaibality, electricity demand growth, fluctuations in supply and cost of other fuels. Countries such as China and India have huge populations and limited domestic energy resources, hence could easily justify the development of an expensive and elobrate infrastructure for power plants for nuclear power. in terms of economies scale, Malaysia shouldn't have a nuclear power plant because it doesn't work in the favour of the country. The nuclear share of total electricity generation in India and China now at 3 percent and 2 percent respectively. Yet, there are huge hidden costs involved in the development of nuclear power plants. These include the costs of decommissioning, storage of spent fuel and handling of radioactive leakages and environmental cost.

However, nuclear not a sustainable energy as the sector requires the mining of Uranium. Vast amount of resources will have to be diverted toward the maintenance of nuclear power plants and the cost too expensive. In terms of human resources, they need to trains its scientists to know how to dealing with nuclear power plants especially during emergency.

The debate on whether TNB pursue its nuclear ambition is likely going to continue. But, still there are many resources from natural that needs TNB to focus on it such Wind power, Solar power and Sea wave power that could be more efficient compared with Nuclear energy which it could destroying our future generation like a film the hills have eyes.

Shame on Malaysia!! The leakage of Military System

At the end of this year, there is another humour story but to me is a serious. The missing of two Turbojet engines namely the single-seater F-5E Tiger 11 and RF-5E Tigereye which reported missing at Malaysian Royal Air Force (MRAF) base in Sungai Besi were shipped off from Port Klang to a third country before ending up in Argentina. But, it was reported that Argentina does not use the engines. This fact is sufficient to twisted the people with how government and MRAF to handle and monitor the MRAF assets till to a certain extent which the size of four feet Turbojet engines lost.

The lost of two engines were reportedly missing in 2007. Many questions have been rose by three days ago especially by Non-Government organisation (NGO) and other quarters. Gerakan Youth secretary general, Dr Dominic Lau said Government must look heavy on this issue that could affect Malaysian image and it's clearly showed the leakage of defence system that exposed to theft.

Something should be done, Government may lost the taxpayers money to buy another Jets. it's learnt that the price of the engine may rich the culpurits because each engine could be sell at RM 50 million (US$ 14.569 million) that can be used to give a loan to local students. On top of that, even though MRAF will changes it F-5E jet fighter to MIG-9 but it's still been used for reconnaissance and traning purposes.

The selling of two engines Turbojet which worth RM 100 million (US$ 29.138) could be described as an immense serious act because it implicates our National Defence as well as dignity. Before this, people have banked on Malaysian Defence System but when it comes to burst, their hope have vanish. Three days ago, another reports have been post at newspapers quoted that there are many other weapon and Military assets have stole. Again, it's clearly showed that the National Defence System is easy to inflirate into the camp. This could be dangerous to government as the enemy can attack or stealing National information.

But, sometimes it could be riduculous to steal especially by transfer through Port Klang. But at the same time, how can the bigger size of the engine can be brought out of Military base? Of course they to bring a truck to carry the engines. Another question is Why now the missing of two Turbojet engines revealed? Whereas the missing was reported in 2007? Why the low-rank officers embroiled in this case? These questions have been rose by many quarters especially the opposition because this is point for opposition to accuse the careless government into handling the Military assets.
J-58 Turbojet engine: is there any other scandals tantamount with Bumiputra Malaysian Finance (BMF) and the latest one Port Klang Free Zone (PKFZ) which the costs have balloned at RM 12 billion (US$ 3.497 billion).

This scandal has becames like a Tiger Woods issues. But this's it. Inspector General of Police has given guarentee to probes into in-deepth in this case. The Government no need to establish a Commission to probes this case as government must pays the commission members. But, government and police can investigate by giving full transperacy during the investigation.

But at the same time, Attorney General also must full-disclosure this cases so that people can evalute what government has done. For the treasons, Government must teach them a lesson by giving a heavy punishment to the culpirits. Government must draft a new system which can promote accountability among the Military Army. As current system was no longer be accepted by World Defence System most notably during the disposing of outdated inventories such as weapons even Jet engines also.

Yet, there are many cases involved Military since Malaysia independence from British in 1957. From Nuri Helicopter to C4 bomb that has been used to blow up Altantu Shaaribuu, still the lack of modern Military System which cause a lot of money been used to repairs. Currently, Malaysia has spent about US$ 3.2 billion (RM 11 billion) to build and consilidating its defence system by buying the latest jet fighter. But, when occur such as theft in Military Base, it could disappoint the people because more taxpayers money will be spend in Military. So the time has comes, treason should be brought to the justice and they will face the music..

Can Proton succeed in Competition?

Proton is synonym with Malaysia's first car-made. Since its established under the former Prime Minister Tun Dr. Mahathir, it already encountered many problems as well as goodness. After the ASEAN conference in 1990s, Proton has enjoyed insulation from Government especially in Tariffs to imported cars. The purpose for the tariffs is to make proton cars keep pace with high-quality cars such as Toyota and Mitsubushi cars. In earlier 1990s, Proton for the first time begun to entered in London markets and its sales really astonishingly. Soon after, Proton launched its new model cars i.e. Proton Wira which totally made by Malaysia's engineers. Its again reap high profit after received more than 50,000 units car in domestic demand. These are the past history encountered by National Cars.

Quality Matters

There are many aspects that Proton need to focus and that is Quality Matters. Still, Proton suffered loss profits after Malaysian lashed out Proton for its failure in making car more quality. According to Proton's workers, most Proton cars were made without looking at their specifics and its raw materials quality. For example, most cars body were made by tin such as Milo Tin. So when it crash, all of body shattered. One of the main peeves on Proton cars have been it's notorious quality control. For example, Proton Gen2, which its door latch. The problem with the Proton Gen2 door latch was the assembly line personnel did not align the latch properly, thus making it a bit hard to open and close. Many blemishes: Proton Gen2 the misery car after the complaints came about its Door latch and it was stemmed from during the assembly line where most people complaints about its door and window.

On the others hand, its Window also frequently hang when opening the window and close. These are the example of our National car made, in which how can people trust to Malaysia cars if the little problems cannot be solved. That's why people more prefer to buy imported-cars as they quality higher compared with Proton. But some people have an alternative, they tend to buy Porodua cars such as Kenari or Kelissa. Some people said, Perodua's quality is better than Proton. Such drive proton cars make people back in 1980s where the proton's first car was made.

Deputy Prime Minister, Tan Sri Muhyiddin said during a question-and-answer session with Malaysian Students and Professionals in Tokyo, Japan "As of today, i am dissatisfied with Proton's export performance." Proton should accepte the fact, and Proton needs to step up its capabilities and not continue to depend on government privileges it is enjoying, at present.

Here's the Key

Proton currently enjoys a market share of 31 percent in the local automotive market and having sold at 108,405 vehicles locally, in the 2008-2009 financial year. Export however, accounted for a meagre 18,426 units. Aftermath, Proton has today announced the appointment of a new Director of Quality, ex-BMW man Dr Wolfgang Karl Epple. According to BMW sources, Dr Epple has worked 23 years with BMW and having last served BMW as Vice President of Quality Msnsgement Research and Development. Dr Epple has a Ph.d. in computer science from the University of Karlsruhe in Germany. The appointment of ex-BMW research was a good news, it can imrpove the assembly line.Former BMW man -- Dr Wolfgang Karl Epple who served in BMW for 23 years and the last charged in BMW as Vice President of Quality Management Research and Development. He earned Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Karlsruhe in Germany. He was a new Director of Quality for Proton Holdings.

Essentially, Proton's quality has improved after the appointment of ex-BMW and was charged in R&D division. Now proton want to focus on Eco-system entirely. In March 2009, Proton was posted a net loss of RM 320.34 million ($93,258 million) compared with net profit RM 184.55 million ($53.726 million) a year earlier. The contribution of the loss due to Economic recession in which many workers have been laid off by company and increasingly bankruptcy among the Big companies after the collapsed of the Lehman Brothers Co. Recession was badly hit many US and Europen nations Which U.K. market suffered downturn in Car sales.

Successful Brands

Proton has successful branded its images after the lauched of three new model cars namely Proton Saga, Pesona and the hottest one isThe Exora first MPV car has been made by Proton. With high-technology, Exora one of the best-seller in outside country which this engine utilises two ingenious technologies: CPS (Cam Profile Switching) and VIM (Variable Intake Manifold) to give relatively high power output and rapid response, Whilst maintaining a fuel-efficient delivery.

first Proton's Multi-Purpose Vehicle (MPV) car called Exora. As the company is aggressively looking to compete in the international market, Proton was focused on improving product quality, improving efficiency and consiladating its vendor network to survive in what industry players have described as a very challenging period. Proton will not going to rest on its laurels after the Proton Saga was named Malaysia's Best Model of the year at the 2009 forest & Sullivan Asia Pacific Automotive Awards in December 2009. There was a lot more to achieved in the next period after China and India Car are expected to enter the world market by 2011. So, Proton does not have chance except to compete with two emerging markets.

So far, there had been 100,000 bookings and 90,000 registrations for the Saga, 78,000 and 77,000 respectively for the Pesona and 14,100 and 4,700 for the Exora MPV since their respective launches, according Proton's Managing Director Dato' Syed Zainal Abidin. The Global recession has driven out two US's biggest car makers which General Motors and Ford suffered a net loss and bailout from US governments about $5 billion (RM 17.2 billion). Asian Giant car, Toyota itself not exempt from plunging deeper into losses after Toyota's new President Akio Toyoda warned that the auto industry would faces two or more though years.

Nowadays, Proton May successfully pave the way after the recent 26th Thailand International Motor Expo in December 2-13 in Bangkok. Its sales bookings at the Expo have beaten all Korea and Continental Brands, positioning it within the ranks of Japanese Brands. Proton has clinched the number six position in car bookings made, securing 1,388 bookings out of the total 25,220. Topping the list was Toyota with 7,230 bookings, followed by Honda 4,239, Isuzu 2,539, Mazda 2,277 and Mitsubishi 1,518. In the Proton's sales cars, Exora was the best-selling Proton model securing a total of 825 bookings, which accounts for almost 60% of Proton's 1,388 units sold during the event. 26th Thailan International Motor Expo was held in Bangkok: Proton had positioned in six after the total 1,388 unit been booked.

Proton Savvy
was the next best-seller recording 19.5% of the total bookings. These were positive signs of success but still there are many bumpy road ahead. Thailand is Exora's fourth export market after Singapore, Indonesia and Brunei and since Malaysian's car manufacturer entered Thai Market in 2007. Proton's third quarter car sales had exceeded an initial target of 73,000 units. It had successful met its objective as car sales for June and July, increased to 14,065 units and 15,809 units respectively.

Looking compenients

Proton needs to be resillent and trying to negotiate for long-term contracts to take advantages of lower commodities and raw material price. Today, Proton must coming up with strategies including product differentiation and more aggressively marketing plans to meet the demand. Proton should looking at the options to improve its plant capacity utilisation. Its Tanjung Malim and Shah Alam plants run at 60% capacity. When the times to a certain extent which its capacity cannot bear this load. Better to find another places for its plant.

With the challenging times, especially in Global downturn, proton was looking a partnership and consolidating its networks around the Globe. In April 2007, Proton had been talks with the Volkswagen group to secure some funding for its troubled operations. Unfortunately, it was ended without a resolution. Recalled in 1983 where the place Proton's born as encouragement from former Prime Minister Tun Mahathir to needs a Malaysian-made car manufacturer. Proton was setup with help from Mitsubishi and the partnership was ended in 2004.Proton Savvy: the best-seller model U.K. about 40 percent recorded of the total sales and Savvy also the next best-selling in Thailand after the 26th Moto Expo in Bangkok was booked 19.5 percent of the 1,388 units bookings.

In late 1995, Australia becames the place for Proton to woo Australian. The company which is partly owned by Malaysian Government (43 percent) also owns Lotus. The future of Lotus also hangs in the balance, with cheaps cars set to come in from China and India in the next five-ten years. Will the quality of China and India cars match those of the Japanese and Korean? Something should be done by Proton to overcomes this matters. In U.K. Proton may be described success after Proton sales has surpassed the company's full target by 10 percent despite the weaker demand for new cars in the country due to Financial Crisis. Currently, Proton sells four model namely Gen2, Satria, Pesona and Savvy in the U.K. market. Its best selling model is Proton Savvy which accounts for 40% of the total sales. Proton has sold about 150,000 cars in the U.K. since entering the market in 1989.

Outlook in 2010

In December this year, Proton was planned to embark on a mass production for the fuel-efficient Hybrid cars by early 2011 to beat rising costs and to reduce gases emission of CO2 to make an Eco-friendly Car. But some of analysists remain coutious
The Chart above: Hybrid Car is more efficient compared with Petrol, yet Hybrid car also Eco-friendly in which people can afford it if was assembled locally.

about Proton's decision, because Proton's quality and issues that dogged the national carmaker for years, is still a cause for concern. The Proton's decision was a good news because Proton was accord with Copenhagen deal to reduce gases emission from 20-40 percent. But the main problem is either proton be able to compete with other Hybrid Players such as Toyota Prius and Honda Civic Hybrid. Still, from my analysist, Proton can make it as Hybrid Cars were a fresh market to enter. On the other hand, World today, living with fear of Climate Change and they begin to clutch at straw on World Carmakers to giving them a new fuel-efficient cars. Currently, Honda Malaysia Sdn Bhd and UMW Toyota Motor Bhd are the only two franchise holders offering their own Hybrid models in Malaysia. Yet, the price of Hybrid car is not cheap, because the costs were higher to made. For example: Toyota Prius and Honda Civic Hybrid are priced from RM 175,000 (US$50.976) and RM 129,000 (US$ 37.576) respectively. But, imported cars were subjected to Tariff and Duties, that's why the price too expensive. But, if Proton embarks on Hybrid, it's totally cheaper as it would be assembled locally. Still, whether the Hybrid car is well-accepted by consumers or not because Toyota and Honda sales on Hybrid were accounted for small friction.

Currently Proton was ahead to produced a new Exora Hybrid version in U.K. for testing and research. It will take delivery of the first car by month-end or early next year. Proton will also launch a fleet programme next year for the Exora, targeting companies that deploy a number of vehicles on the road, such as DHL, Pos Malaysia and taxi firms. Proton also plans to produce electric versions of the Persona and Saga sedans, but it will be a few years before the carmaker mass produces them.

On top of that, Proton's action to embark on car sales in China was a wise move. Under the agreement with Youngman Automobile Group Ltd in China, Proton was to supply at least 30,000 units of Gen2 completely built-up to Youngman to be rebadged in China under the brand Europestar. My point here is if proton begin to sales its car in China, Proton would reap the rewards, as sentiment among its consumers were steadly incresing. New lending in China also rose as much as 294.8 billion in Yuan (RM 147.731 billion) in Nov. up from 253 billion yuan (RM 126.784) and this is augur well for Proton.

Proton has faced many challenge since its born in 1983, after success in U.K., Proton faced a big challenge under the quality. After years, Proton has been sealed as Low-quality car till its successfully branding its image under the Pesona, Saga, Exora MPV and Savvy, which recorded the highest sales since the launched. Various efforts have been made by appointed ex-BMW vice president research & development in BMW. Maybe by appoint a new head of research, it can change skeptical view about Proton. Yet, Proton should grateful by government policy to imposes Tariff and Duties to imported cars. If Proton live in America, it will faces what General Motor and Chryselar faced.

China's fu qiang , dream comes true

This year, Chinese community had celebrated 60th anniversary People's Republic of China as National regime collapsed after the founder of People's Republic of China Mao Zedong stood before a sea of people atop Tiananmen Gate proclaiming, in high-pitched Hunan dialect. The moment was marked with pride and hope that the Communist's victory had vanquished the Nationalist regime correlation with onslaught of the Japanese Invasion. There were largely a homegrown revolution for CCP. In Mao Zedong's vision is to regain China's fu qiang (wealth & power), dignity and international respect. The failure of Qing Dynasty to restores Chinese's dignity after the Emperor lose in war. Still it was a long ago but today, China has built its juggernaut empire and it was. With 1.3 billion population, China was among the top countries that enable to sway world's economic. if Mao was there it was happy with China's progression. China is the world largest populous and

industrious nation is the world third largest economy and trading nations. it had surpassing Germany last year as the world leading exporter and it set to take Japan next year. It also has becomes a global innovator in science and technology and it's build top high-class universities.

Brief History..

According to Researchers, the first community live in china is Yuang Shao people and it's hail from yellow river. Yuang Shao people praticed The Great Wall, one of seven weird things in the world.. History- The Great Wall was built in 221 b.c. by the Chin Dynasty under Shih Huang Ti Emperor. On the Shih Huang Ti era, his has used an Autocratic system which under his rules, people must obey to him and forced to conscripted to build the Great Wall to defend his territories from HuangSu attack. The construction of the Great Wall has involve big expenditure indeed more people died during the construction. As much as 100,000 workers have built this Wall and time consumed about 100 years to finish it. The Great Wall was finished under the Han Dynasty which Han Wu Ti Emperor is well-known as "Military Emperor" and Continue to build Great Wall on west part..

a mass migratation to feed them. Several decades ago, chinese was commanded by Emperors and Empress in many Dynasties. Since 19 century, there were nine reign of dynasties namely Shang dynasty,Chou, Chin, Han, Sui, Tang, Sung, Ming and Ching dynasty. In the most prominent dynasty is Chin dynasty which the preliminary process to build 'the Great Wall' to impedes Hsung Hu people from attack Chin territories. the Great Wall was built by manpower and the costs also exorbitant to Chin Emperor as well as more its people died in the course of building process. As a result, Chin Emperor has succumbed by its cronies. The building of the Graet Wall has continues again in Han Dynasty and as much as 100,000 man were conscripted by Emperor to build the Great Wall and 100 days time consuming to finish it. Each empire also has religion disparities such in Shang dynasty, its communities believe that the emperor was son of heaven and their belief in calamities such droughts, floods and so forth, were among the sign of the Emperor does not have power anymore and they entitle to overthrow the Emperor. Perhaps it was a long religion view, today China has three main religious and Buddhism is the main ones. Uighurs and Tibetan was Minority group in China while Han the bigger majority who dominant china politic.

Political Creeds

As a result of its previous reign and dynasties, a lot of community have different point of political creed. Tibetan who believe in Buddhism are not believe in Communists and Uighurs dominated by Islam also believe the same thing. So what can CCP do is to reach this minority group and get support from them. Since 1949, China's political system does not changes much but it's still a Leninist system and an Oligarchy of its self-selected leaders. The structual and essential of the system remains largely same, the process of politics has changed quite a lot. In the past, there only two exit paths from officialdom; purges and death. Now mandatory retirement is firmly implemented. nowadays Marxist and Leninist ideology plays little, if any, role in their decison making. But, people didn't have choice to select its leader- because of undemocratic and no pallot boxes. But Communist party has proved it can manage it and remarkably adaptable and borrowing elements from different countries and political system such republic where there were only two King- president and prime minister. The collapse of Soviet Union, Nazisme and Communist Party Malaya (CPM) has make CCP more experienced to sneak the

best elements and political system. The CCP's sustenance on its political stabilation and its economy are evidents to the success of Communisme compare to Democracy where in US many obstacles have engender more blood-bath.

Accentuation in Economic..

Several decades ago, China frequently focus on their basic needs. Agriculture was a selected choice to expand its crops which most of its people work on it. Chinese people presume that agriculture are the holy work because of crops contribute save their lives. By virtue of this verdict, most of chinese trader did not make any connections with outside people and they believe that traders or merchants are bad people or liar because of they obtaining profits from poor people. But today, it was reflecting on it, China was considered as major role to sways the world economics. Since 1949, years after World War 2 ended, China's transformation was recogised the dramatic improvement in China's global posture. 60 years ago, Chinese have cut off from World and having diplomatic recognition only from a relatively small number of nations. China was excluded from United Nation (UN) and embroiled in the Korean Peninsular War and the cold war, which brought further isolation. During Korean War, China more in favor to North Korea by virtue of its co-communism with North. Years after, following the 1945 Geneva Conference on Indochina, China has gone more further isolated and they also did not receive world aid and as a result, its economy stagnated. At tail-end of the 1970s, China has kick off its new economy policy by introduced a new market-oriented reform programme. The world centiments over the China also witnessing how China turn its economy from low-cost manufacturing base to the higher manufacturing base. China has succeed in shaping its economic and rolled out the red carpet to attract foreign investments and paved the way to to become a leading exporter to the rest of the world.

Economy bottom out after Stimulus worth $586 billion
to galvanised domestic demand. China was the first
country out of recession and 3rd Largest Economic.

This year, when the world was hit by financial conflogaration, more bankruptcy reported, Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in negative aroung the world, but to China it was an oppurtunity to grabs the limelight as world leading economy. In 2006, China's GDP at 11.6% and went up 0.3 to 11.9% in 2007 and went down at 9% in 2008. This year, China's GDP in first quarter stood at 6.1% compare to second quarter at 7.9%. While US and Euro nations suffer a slump in its economy, China the first and Asean was out of recession. Its key exports also recorded high in November 2009 grew at 16.1% due to massive stimulus package worth $586 billion (RM 2 trillion) about 13% of GDP. Furthermore, factory production has begun to edge up, in part because Chinese consumers spend more money especially Car. The nation's consumer index in last month rose 0.6% year on year (y-o-y), the first increase since January. The rise in CPI was a conducive growth in recovery and job is expected to rise in next year as boost in spendind power to job creation. According to the world Bank, estimates that China's GDP in the next year reaching at 9% and in 2011 at 11% as China would continue its fiscal policy to boosting domestic demand and tax breaks in China.

China's GDP in 2008-Q2 of 2009, recorded growth..

Japan's concern about mass production in its industries would beat Japan's rank as the second world largest economic. China has accomplished its vision as the world largest foreign reserves which now stands at $2.3 trillion (RM 8 trillion) in US Treasuries. With dollar depreciated in earlier this year, sparked off concern among the Chinese top Officials. When Premier Wen Jiabao proclaimed in March that he was worried about China's vast US dollar holdings. Washington's unwillingness to raise interest rates was fueling asset bubbles in stocks and property markets as well as putting economic recovery at risk.

Still, China's policy in insulating its exports make the Shanghai exchange soar more than 80% this year. it was the best performance among the major markets. As more nations depend on producing commodities, such as Australia and Brazil have benefited immensely as demand from China has driven up the price of raw materials. In International Monetary Fund (IMF) forecasts that in the three years from 2008 to 2010, China with tremendous growth in exports, account for almost three-quarters of the world's economic growth. Recall during the colonial era, Chinese's behaviour against traders, presumed them as Barbarian was may correct. but the reality is it reflects to China's traders nowadays.

Tourism sector shows an increasing in domestic tourism.. (CNBS-sources)

US in reality, depend on China's exports while US is the biggest imports of goods and services from China. This mutual respect was a turning point for both countries to boosting demand and intertwine each other. But the main problem is different consumer in two biggest countries. The consumption levels in US remain higher about 70% contributed in its GDP, while China 40% less than US consumptions. Savings rate in US still fragile compare to Chinese. But the true is China should not depend on its export to makes its economic more sustainability growth. As dollar this continuous depreciate this year, China's foreign reserves at a risk. That's why now China has lent more money to its investor to invest in overseas to support Yuan currency.

Growth in manufacturing sector has rose 16.1% in November and continue to in uptrend next year. This was a good news for investors to seek more money on return to investment. With the largest population, a deep pool of labour and hire rates also low as more people expected to enter the labour market during the recovery. Earlier this year, Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in China was totalled $7.5 billion (RM 25.7 billion) and in March FDI stood at $8.4 billion (RM 28.8 billion). The tremendous growth in FDI is due to stimulus package ($ 586 billion) to galvanise domestic and external demand as recession hit badlt to its key exports. According various sources, Consumers confidence rose from the first quarter to third quarter. On top of that, China's products are more cheaper than US and Europe. This was true when we

go out to covenient store and we will see 'made in China' cheaper than the others. On the other hand, Most Electronic compenent will be install in China such as Computer Makers DELL and LENOVO. But the main problems with China Made are the quality, which many people claimed that China Made weren't cater world standard products.

Banks in China also stepping up its base lending to consumers. This year, the proportion of car sales financed with loans has doubled nearly 25%. Credit Card spending also rose 40% at first nine months of the year compare to same period last year. Retail sales in China was recorded at 17% a year after adjusted with inflation. This is augur well for government massive stimulus package which took effect now. Rebates for rural families have offered by Government to buy more cars and household appliances and has cut tax sales on cars with small engines.

According National Bereau of Statistics, China has invested $56 billion (RM 192 billion) overseas in 2008, up 111% over 2007. Another report says that China was the biggest acquirer in the Asia Pacific in the first quarter of this year. PetroChina Co. the biggest Oil Company in China, completed the purchase of 45.5% in Singapore Petroleum Co. last June. On the other hands, China Petrochemical Corp (SINOPEC) announced in June that Company in the pipeline to buy Geneva-based Addax Petroleum Corp for $7.3 billion (RM 25 billion) completed in August. XinHua news agency described the purchase as the largest overseas takeover by China Oil Co. The overseas investment was among the government courage to balancing Yuan currency. Nowadays, 37 Chinese Multinational corporations rank among FORTUNE's top 500 global companies, while 450 out of the FORTUNE 500 American companies have production lines and business in China. China has becomes the world's largest reciepent of FDI. China is now more focusing on the energy supply, where China now consumes 16% od global energy resources and the third largest consumer of oil.

Trade Stance..

China tried to emphasize the how much he has common with US president. From climate change to nuclear nonproliferation, China and the world share extensive common interest and broad prospects for cooperation on a series of major issues important to Mankinds. To China relationships with other nation especially US was described an important trade. Most notably if engage in Tariff and other restrictions. For example, this year, Barrack Obama pledged that US would increase its Tariff on China Tyres, resulted an increase in tyre price. Two days later, China's Minister of Commerce said the government will probes into dumping and subsidies of chicken and auto parts from the US Company. This make a discord between Beijing and Washington.

The Comsumptions between US and China also diferent, Americans spent about $10 trillion (RM 30.4 trillion) last year, compared with China about $1.4 trillion (RM 4.8 trillion) and consumptions in US accounts for 70% of GDP compared with about one-third in China, according to Morgan Stanley. Still, there is a lopsided US-China trading relationships. In the first nine months of 2009, Trade deficits occured between US-China with China stands at $165.8 billion (RM 568.7 billion) so far, down 16% because of the global economic slowdown. The deficit continuously rose to $22 billion (RM 75.5 billion) in September.

China president Hu Jintao & Barrack Hussein Obama,
In Beijing's Cavernous Great Hall of the People of
Nov. 17 to discuss about bilateral trades and
mutual interest in Economic.

In November 2009, China has accused US for trade protectionism, but forceful rebutting Beijing's charges. America has loss tens of billion dollar because of trade restriction by China's authorities. According to Gary F. Locke a US Commerce Secretary, less than 4% of Chinese exports to the US are affected by trade restrictions, roughly equivalent to the percentage of US exports to China that face sanctions. US has focused the bilateral trades with China to boost consumption between two giants economic, in particular about restarting the stalled appreciation of the Yuan. That will make up a drop in US spending power and help redress the trade imbalance.

China has becomes Manufacturing superpower and the workshop of the world and its producing two-thirds of all Photocopiers, Microwaves and Shoes; 60% cellphone, 55% DVDs, 30% of personal computers and 75% of children toys. And this lead China to third largest economic in the world and by next year, China will keep the pace with Japan to seize the second throne. In 2020 China's vision to becomes the biggest economic surpassing US and certainly it will sparks concern for the White House.

Reinventing Education...

Several centuries ago, the education system in China, only based on getting their post in civil servant. According to Chinese's Stratification, inteligents people will be at high places. Chinese society immensely viewing intelectual as Rich person because of having power, top ranking officer and have a basic needs of life. Chinese's education policy different for most Dynasties, usually students will sit an exam based on several layers. For example, if they want to continue the nest degree, they must pass the previous examination. Based on Chinese's policy, those have obtained the first degree will be dubbed as Hsiu Tsai and continuously till the higher degree called Chin Shih. Usually those obtain the higher degree will post to become Majistret.

Six decades ago, Mao has spent his life to tranform Chinese in his Utopian, Socialist, and Revolutionary vision and he tried to create a 'new socialist man'. Mao successor Deng and his compatriots came to power in 1978. Deng has begun a new policy and openess policy to revive its economic and education system after three decades China was isolated by World Society. The end is over, three decades under the Deng reign, Chinese have fully blossomed and the transformation ineducation has made Chinese more freedom to further their studies in overseas. More than 200 million have lifted out of poverty and the number of growing middle-income continuously rising.
Enrollment of foreign students in America, which China the first in ranking. Nowadays about 21 million Chinese students have attended at University.

Access to education has become widespread. Today, 21 million students attend at University, While 300,000 study abroad every year. Approximately 206 million Chinese children attend primary and secondary schools. Chinese were among the top ranking enrolment in US to further their studies in higher education. From 1997-2008, about 8.5% the average annual growth and more than 200,000 thousand student from China study in America. Long time ago, Mathematic in China has surpassing Europe in 14 century. But the true for Chinese people is about their poverty rates. China remains poors countries by Global Standards, some 207 million still live below World Bank Poverty Levels on less than $1.25 (RM 4.29) per day.

Social Security..

China may possessing an immune in Economic, but it relatively remains poor country, with an annual per capita income of $6,000 (RM 20.580) compared with US about $39,000 (RM 133,770) and $33,400 (RM 114,562) in the Europe. Middle class in China only have an income of about $12,000 (RM 41,160). Most Chinese still can afford Proton Exora but let alone a BMW car. But there are many argument about accumulation of per capita income. Maybe Americans income are more further but based on standard of living, American standard still below by virtue of jobless crisis compared with China. Earlier this year, Many economists predicted that America would log on to massive unemployment country. According survey by Bloomberg, US Unemployment rates next year reach at 10% and in 2011 would going down as much as 9%. But still, America unreaching Full workforce because the data showed American Jobless remain above 4%.

While China has made much progress, it still has many blemishes. Treatment between two minorities group i.e. Uighur and Tibetans is the Achilles' heel for Beijing. As riots last year in Tibet and recent months a discord between Uighur and Han ethnic. Last year during the clash between China's Armies and Tibetans disrupted Beijing's face as Olympic Beijing begun. The blood-bath infuriate many leaders looking at Beijing as 'need political revamp'. And recent months, The clash between Uighur and Han ethnic caused World leaders look down on Beijing to manage its ethnic relationships.
The Unrest between Tibetans and Police.....

Yet, Corruption perceptions in China also Lower compared with Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei and ASEAN countries. In 2009, Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI) in China remains lower at 3.6 rank at 79 in Transperancy. Confidence range stoods at 3.2-4.2. Still, there is need to be done by Chinese's authority to tackle Corruption in China. Singapore rank at 3 in CPI the one ASEAN countries recieved the higher ranking. China should learn from Singapore. In 2008, Huang Guangyu, China's richest man, an electronic tycoon more than $588 million (RM 2.02 billion) has been charged with bribery. Huang, 39, was charged over shareprice manipulation linked to Shandong Jintai Group, a medicine manufacturer owned by his brother, Huang Junqin, economic magazine Caijing reported earlier this year. In 2003, former flower magnate Yang Bin, once listed as China’s second richest man with an estimated fortune of $900 million( RM 3.1 trillion), was jailed 18 years for bribery, fraud and illegal use of farmlands. As corruption hit China, time to more rules be made to better guide the behaviour of China's Tycoon.

the levels of filtering of the internet website. China's authority will shutting down more websites after the Google has put dozens porn videos on search engine. Currently, as much as 700 websites have been shut down.

These are among the issues need to be tackle by Chinese, but still, China's decision to shutting down more websites believed have porn, ethnic and political elements, was not a wise decesion. According to China daily, 700 websites have been shut down and more will be shut. it was stemmed from Google search engines believed have put dozens of porn videos to its web. but decision to closed website is bad, they limit the people freedom to surf internet to find an useful information. So to the government it was only to protects its people from crimes and unuseful website such as Facebook, Myspace and Twitter.

Greenies Issues...

China is the biggest emitter of greenhouse gases and the world most polluter country. Green issue has been risen since 1997 when the world begun to signed a robust global agreement in Kyoto Protocol. Since six decades ago, China's population has rose quadruple and its now totalled 1.3 billion. In terms of Geography, China was a huge land and have four seasons. besides How can government control its people from start open burning, throwing rubbish into sea and so forth. One of the worst pollution in China is Air pollution. Last year, when China begun to open tourcher in Beijing, some of tourist said, 'why so much, much hazes in China'. Of course, this one of the effect of industrial nation such as Brazil and India. Much more smoke vomitted by factories through unfilter funnel, still it was the effects increasing in FDI especially if involved foreign companies. such as US oil company mired in dumping oil in Africa region.

Copenhagen in Denmark, which China has pledged to curb its emission of CO2 and the use of fossil fuels per unit of economic output by 40-45%. This is the hottest topic since earlier december, and for China this the best place to make a firm decision to curbings climate change in future. Kyoto Protocol which ended 2010 has failed in made tougher agreements againts developed and developing countries. China has been accused by western nations as China was the biggest emitter of greenhouse gases. But China has retaliated to the western as a rich nation, they failed to finance poor countries in developing science and technology. In Copenhagen which ended on Saturday, Many activists, Voulanteers and Scienctists, described it as the 'failure in Copenhagen talks' because of emerging countries such as Brazil, China and India have pledged to reduce its Carbon, but Europe nations remains ascribe China for these matters.

Yesterday, China condemned claims ascribed to Britain's climate change minister that it had "hijacked" negotiations in Copenhagen, saying on Tuesday the accusations were an attempt to sow discord among poor countries. The sharp words from Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Jiang Yu were the latest baring of diplomatic bad blood after the talks in Copenhagen ended on Saturday with a broad, non-binding accord that fell short of hopes for a robust global agreement on how to curb greenhouse gas emissions. Jiang was responding to a report in Britain's Guardian newspaper that said the Environment Minister Ed Miliband had accused China, Sudan, Bolivia and other left-wing Latin American nations of "hijacking" efforts to reach deeper agreement on how to fight global warming. At the end, The accord set a target of limiting global warming to a maximum 2 degrees Celsius over pre-industrial times seen as a threshold for dangerous changes such as more floods, droughts and rising seas. But it did not say how this would be achieved. It held out the prospect of $100 billion (RM 343 billion) in annual aid from 2020 for developing nations, but did not specify precisely where this money would come from. Decisions on core issues such as emissions cuts were pushed into the future.
Copenhagen Objective: which begun on 7-18 December to talks about climate change. Copenhagen was held due to the Kyoto Protocol 1997 which ended in next year.. China will reduce it CO2 at 40-45% in the next year. The developed nations will finance $10 billion (RM 34.3 billion) a year, three years program to fund poorer nations.

The European Nation have been criticised for its failure to raise its unilateral emission cut offer to 30 percent from 20 percent, was ill-prepared for Copenhagen Talks. Negative reaction to the accord came to a boil in Germany, where environmental groups, churches, industrialists and economists slammed the compromise as a disaster. China has advocated at the Copenhagen Talks to aim reducing gases emission by 50% in 2020. But, European refused to accord with Copenhagen and it was described by Wang Yi, a climate change policy researcher at the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing said "Everyone is raising the banner of protecting the planet, but in reality they are protecting their own interests." Perhaps for China, it has poised for the next greenies issue challenge in waiting to burst.

At the end...

As People's Republic of China commomerates the 60th anniversary, there are many issues remain shackling its people, economic, health-care and education need. The people's Republic of China has endured for six decades and has overcome a wide variety of serious domestic crises, border wars and international isolation. Its strengths and adaptability have repeatedly been underestimated by all corners.

China faces enormous challenges, since a massive shift of population from rural areas to big cities such as Beijing and Canton, cleaning up decades of environmental degradiation, continuing to provide the increase in prosperity that has underpinned political stability. Green issue has made China more mature in decision making to tackle its gases, even though many President Hu Jintao counterparts revile and blaming China for the discord of Copenhagen, China has learnt something that western allies didn't know it: in the midst of Financial Crisis, China by its own weapon has lifted its economy out of recession compared with Britain, US even Japan as well. This is how CCP built its empires without Soviet Union and Marximilism, it can survive from financial storm, health-care, ethnic unrest, and education matter. The times have come for western and its allies to learn something which ingrained in People's Republic of China...

Sinetron Indonesia

Tahun 2008 kementerian kebudayaan dibawah Datuk seri Rais dengar khabar nak mengurangkan drama indon tapi apa citer. Atau budaya orang UMNO yang memang suka menipu rakyat hingga terbawa-bawa menelan wang rasuah. Jelik sungguh!!!!!!!

Belum lagi dalam kebebasan bersuara (freedom of speech).

[surah Ali-Imran ayat 190]

Goods & Services Taxes (GST), hit badly to the poors

In the mid-November 2009, Malaysia's Government keen to introduced a new tax system called Goods and Services Taxes (GST). I really confident that the introducing new system can create a lot of tension among people and political will among the Barisan Nasional or Front Nasional where a promise that been done since March 8 General Election. Nowadays, Mr. Najib as Prime Minister that promoted 1Malaysian concept among its people with his' theme 'people first, perfomance now' remains unsuccessful.

Introduce GST would create more havoc among the people as 5 percent taxes are enough to make people much mesiry. Imagine if GST will imposed among us and how about our staples food? These are question rose during the government's proposal to taxes the food. There are many effects that government success to make poverty rate declining in 2015. Although poverty rate has declined at below 3 percent since 2005 to 2007, but the question the efficiency in using standard to measures income under the poverty line is out of the dated. For rich countries such UK, Russia, Japan and Turkey they even don't use standard line to measure poverty but a modification in standard measures is needed.

Poverty should not measure the basis about them but their comfortable, place and the basic in the house. Economic Planning Unit (EPU) has classified poverty in city is RM 740 for peninsular, RM 840 for Sarawakians and RM 970 for Sabah. Indeeed, for hardcore poor in city they measure based on Poverty Line Income (PLI) was RM 420 for peninsular, RM 540 for Sabah and Sarawak at RM 530. Before i explaine to my readers about how badly GST effects us, i Begin the next issue is the average of household income.

Nasional Mission that has been issued under the former prime minister Tun Abdullah Badawi and Tun Dr. Mahathir, the aim was to elimanated socioeconomy imbalance among the etnics. According to RMK-9 report, the declined poverty in city have reduced at 2.5 percent in 2004 to 2.0 percent in 2007 and poverty in rural areas have declined as much as 11.9 percent to 7.1 percent. The findings were an achievement for government vission to annihalation the hardcore poverty in 2015. In terms of Households income average among Malaysian was recorded an increasing from RM 3,249 in 2004 to RM 3,686 in 2007. An increasing in households income because of economy growth as well as stimulus packages in 2007 that declared to tackle recession and creating more jobs. In average, a household live in city is spending more than 1.8 times higher than rural areas. The average monthly spending in city areas stoood at RM 2,285 per month and for rural areas about RM 1,301 per month. According to Prof. Emeritus Chamhuri Siwar from University of Malaya, "the calculation concept of poverty lines need to taking into account a qualitiy for family whether they have items such a refrigator, TV, computer and so forth". Therefore, poverty line need to be reevaluate by take into account people comfort in their live. So the question is whether government are poised to impose another taxes, according to latest statistics figure?

GST was introduce to mitigate burden bear by government since the last year, both stimulus package worth RM 7 billion and RM 60 billion are the huge for government to repay its money. the second stimulus package much, much worse because most of money borrowed from China. Still, it take much time to repay its debts in the wake of financial crisis. Yet, when GST imposed, government can collect revenue from it as much as RM 1 billion. To Mr. Najib it is still unsifficient to repay its debt so the next move is to remove subsidise enjoyed by Malaysian irrespective of rich or poor. The amount of subsidise bear by government have reach at RM 14 billion including crude oil. With the crude oil today below at $67 per barrel, Petronas the conglomerate company is expected to reduce its payment to government. And certainly, government coffers also expected to reduce, that's why government keen to remove its subsidise as well as impose more tax to its people. Government budget also deficit in RMK-10 and during the debate at Parlimen last November, Minister in Prime Minister department said that government on the road to tried harder to deflect its budget deficit.

For the poors, the daylight roberry for goods and services were making poor more depressed because of the higher prices that could disrupt their budget. I readed last week Milenia magazine and its top stories are 'survival in the big city'. What draw my attention is living in the city such Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Penang and Johor Baharu were miseriable because in the course of economy turmoil, most people have been laid off by companies around the world. But today, recession is over now the unemployment rate has plunged and more people are expected to back from the work. But the remaining issues are either the introduced GST would make Malaysia be a developed country?? still its impossible, with the poverty rate according to outsource, would increase when GST be imposing. Even though the inflation rate has back to the normal, but it could be higher back because of the GST. The disposable income also expected to reduce and the spending household average also increase. When the inflation has rise, either employees increament increase or not.

For example; the food price for wheat in single year, March 2007-March 2008 stood at 130% more than hundred percent. the increase wheat price because of US companies have using wheat
to diverted it, to bio-fuel. In 2008 world was hitting by food crisis which the figure released by World Food Organisation (WFO) increased more than tripled because the producer's countries impose higher taxes to import's countries. for example; Rice has increased 74% since the food crisis and exporter country such Thailand has impose an additional charge and restrictions in their Rice output to accomodate its people. Should this happen???

When the foods and other goods increased, the poorest ones would suffer to feed themselves and that causes hunger and malnutrition. Take a note; over 9 million people die worldwide each year because of hunger and malnutrition, 5 million are children. Approximately 1.2 billion people suffer from hunger (deficiency of calories and protein). Yet, some 1.2 billion suffer from obesity (excess of fats and salt, often accompanied by deficiency of vitamins and minerals). For people especially Rich, the food wastage also high. In U.K. last decade the amount of food British people threw into the bin went up by 15% and overall approximately $38 billion (RM 129.732 billion) worth of food is thrown away. Yet, the diversion of land also leading food crisis because most of land have diverted to be Tobacco proliferation.

Some 80% of the world’s production is consumed by the wealthiest 20% of the world suggesting an inequality in resource use due to social, economic and political reasons, and perhaps less because of Malthusian concerns about population sizes outstripping resource availability in most cases. For wealth people, an additional taxes could affect them much just a little bite compare to poors people. So it's time to Malaysia top executives to consider the expediancy in the imposing GST. Even if government eager not to make budget deficit next year but should we tax to poors. the best ways are through Inland Board Revenue to charging more to rich or higher income group to make gap more closer. GST is the last resort for government to implement it and even though we make great strides in economy but if we not consider the poor ones how can build our developed country which in brink of 2020 vision.

Realiti Ekonomi Umat Islam

Senario ekonomi umat Islam.

Jadual 1: Kadar Kemiskinan Di Malaysia

1997 2000
Jumlah Bandar L/bandar Jumlah Bandar L/bandar
Kadar kemiskinan 6.1% 2.1% 10.9% 5.5% 1.9% 10.0%
Bil. isi rumah termiskin 294.4K 55.4K 239.0K 276.0K 53.2K 222.8K

(Sumber: Laporan Separuh Penggal Rancangan Malaysia Ketujuh).

Jadual 2: Kadar Kemiskinan Negeri Pilihan (1997).
Negeri Kadar Kemiskinan
1 Kelantan 19.2%
2 Terengganu 17.3%

3 Sabah 16.5%
4 Kedah 11.5%
5 Perlis 10.7%

a) Kelekaan dengan status pribumi,

i) Kurang tabungan.

Sebagaimana sabda Rasullulah s.a.w.,

Islam sentiasa menggalakkan umatnya mencari ilmu pengetahuan. Rasulullah s.a.w. ada bersabda bahawa,

Menuntut ilmu, wajib atas tiap muslim. (HR. Ibnu Majah).

b) Rendah tahap penerimaan risiko,

c) Kurang perpaduan sesama sendiri.

Insya Allah.
